STONE & CERAMIC SURFACES TURNS 20

Reaching the 20-year milestone in business became a reality for Stone & Ceramic Surfaces, Inc.  this year in Huntington Beach.

The retailer of imported and domestic tile for surfaces used in kitchen, bath, living areas, or exteriors, including new construction or remodeling, celebrated the 20-year mark amid lots of changes and challenges, including the pandemic, lockdown orders, and adding to the Stone ownership team.

Founding owner  Mike Faas orchestrated the early business model  20 years ago bringing products and services all under one designer showroom and contractor warehouse. Mike has seen that focus turn into success over the years, as growth in the Southern California housing industry fostered the need for tile and tile- related products within an attainable customer-friendly environment, where service meets the end user.

“I felt after working the years in sales ( Tile Mile in Anaheim, CA. and Del Piso Tile) and installation that took me all over the southland, that there should be a better connectivity; if all facets of the customer experience could be created inside one showroom,” says Faas.

This military veteran with a strong Christian faith, began a journey in life and business that encouraged family involvement in the busines. Many of the Faas family have worked for the company, as does wife Cindy. They live where they work, in Huntington Beach, CA.

Mentoring youth has always been a priority. Mike has increased his employment team at Stone & Ceramic Surfaces over the years by hiring young apprentices to seasoned professionals that literally can take any project from start to finish.

Today, with an extensive product portfolio that numbers well into the hundreds of thousands, and with a hyper-senstivity toward speciality skews that are unique to Stone & Ceramic Surfaces, choices for the STONE homeowner, designer and contractor, are enormous, and STONE is positioning itself for future growth.

Stone & ceramic Surfaces has a new and fresh logo and brand-awareness campiagn set for the future; the future that keeps Stone & Ceramic Surfaces centered within the commercial and residential marketplace essential for business today and a legacy built for the future.
